Recently, a new study from the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music highlights the importance of song for both the mothers and infants.

One of the main goals of the research was to clarify the meaning of infant-directed singing as a human behavior and as a means to elicit unique behavioral responses from infants, says Shannon de l’Etoile, the Professor of Music Therapy and Associate Dean of Graduate Studies at the Frost School of Music.
