Meeting of Ivanka Trump in the White House attracted some controversy

People on social media are very angry at Ivanka Trump for posting this picture of herself in the Oval Office.
The daughter of President Trump, shared a photo to Twitter on Monday of herself with her dad and the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

The real issue a lot of people have? The fact that Ivanka is sitting in the presidential chair… She wrote alongside the picture: ‘A great discussion with two world leaders about the importance of women having a seat at the table!” she tweeted with the picture.’Twitter users took aim at the businesswoman for sharing the image, berating her for her place in the White House. ‘The Oval Office should not be a prop for the president’s daughter,’ one user tweeted.

Trump’s daughter holds no official role in his administration, yet she has participated in a number of official events. Trudeau’s visit to the White House this week was a boom time for memes – particularly one about his handshake with Trump. Plus, the White House press secretary, Sean Spicer, appeared to call him “Joe” Trudeau.

Others, however, (on tweeter) applauded her. “Ivanka is truly a roll model for all women!” one user wrote.

This is not the first time civilians have sat in the president’s chair. During Barack Obama’s presidency show children sitting behind the desk in the Oval Office. “Robby Novak, AKA ‘Kid President’, feigns a phone call at the Resolute Desk during his visit to see the President in the Oval Office. ‘Kid President’ became a YouTube sensation and was invited to participate in the Easter Egg Roll at the White House.” April 1, 2013.
